Serial Obsession
It’s easy for a bartender to fall for the people they serve.
I’d listen to their problems, hearing their bleeding hearts crying out in pain and anguish. I’d wish and hope that there’s some comfort that I could give them with my words. Maybe I was too empathetic for the job, but that never stopped me from caring.
Then I met Aurora.
I listened to her stories of terror and abuse and I promised her I would make things right. I swore she would never hurt again.
I intend to keep that promise.
