Christmas Story
I realize it’s the end of May, but hey, ever heard of halfway to Christmas stuff? No? Just me? Well I suppose I’m now going to contaminate you with talking about Christmas a little under halfway through the year. Sequel!
For those of you who don’t follow me on Bluesky or don’t share a Discord with me (the places I easily spend most of my time and I really need to step away from to do some actual writing for a change), You’ll be surprised to know that I’ve been working on the sequel to the first novel I self-published all the way back in 2020, Into Darkness. A story about lesbian super-humans who tangle with each other to the point of falling for each other in a novel that has been largely ignored in favor of my better works that came out later, particularly the paranormal romances I published with Bold Strokes.
That being said…
There was enough interest to finish the story that was started in Into Darkness. So the sequel, Out of Twilight, will be releasing June 2026. No firm date yet because there’s a bit more work to be done on it, but it will be published during PRIDE MONTH! Because why not have a novel of lesbian superhumans and trans folk and toxic women release in that most joyous month of the year? With a cover by a spectacular artist a friend suggested, there is even a proper cover on it that looks absolutely amazing to me, and I can’t wait for it to come out.
Out of Twilight will continue the story of Victoria, aka Midnight, as she tries to go good by joining the local police force. This impacts her life with Andi, her pet and girlfriend, and Ellis, her friend and housekeeper. Meanwhile, Lana, aka Stardust, is trapped in the world of the Twilight, a world between the realms of life and death. As she desperately tries to find a way back Victoria starts falling into old habits when a new villain shows up, claiming her title as Lady Midnight.

What’s next?
I have no idea. I’m working on a few projects right now, nothing I’m comfortable discussing yet, but I want to assure you that though I am quiet about what I’m doing quite often, I haven’t stopped writing. My life is a little up in the air a lot of the time, with few compass points keeping me going in the same direction, but I am still writing. And there will be more books from me. I get better with every book I put out and with the support of some amazing friends and other writers I haven’t given up on this dream.
Speaking of dreams, an absolutely wonderful woman by the name of Emoria Weidner is getting set to release her very first novel, a toxic trans yuri titled Aftertaste, later in June here. Originally published post by post on Bluesky, the novel itself has been revamped and rewritten and will be available for sale in a few weeks. Emoria is an amazing woman who deserves so much credit for what she’s managed to do, from creating an amazing story through 300 character posts on a social media app to being able to negotiate a contract for it’s release with Past-Itch Publishing. https://bsky.app/profile/valisdheart.bsky.social/post/3mmzdb6en6k26
